About the role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Interim Accountant will support the delivery of key finance projects while assisting with month-end reporting and management accounting activities. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the business to provide accurate financial information, improve reporting processes, and help drive operational efficiencies. This position is ideal for an ambitious accountant who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is keen to broaden their experience beyond traditional financial reporting.
About you
- Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Strong understanding of management accounting and month-end processes
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Experience using ERP systems and financial reporting tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly journals, including prepayments and accruals
- Complete balance sheet and control account reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Analyse budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, providing meaningful variance analysis
- Support finance transformation and business improvement projects
- Produce timely and accurate financial information for internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with operational teams to improve financial processes and controls
