VANRATH is partnering with a respected NI-based organisation to recruit an HR Officer. This is a hands-on role focused on developing a strong HR framework within a growing business. You will ensure compliance and consistency across all people processes, act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, and support a positive, high-performing workplace culture.

About You / Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in an HR Advisor, Senior HR Officer, or generalist HR role
- Strong knowledge of Northern Ireland employment law, particularly contracts, policies, and employee relations
- Experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes
- Practical experience with performance management frameworks, KPIs, and appraisals
- Confident handling disciplinary, grievance, absence, and capability cases
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of an HR function
- Comfortable advising and influencing senior stakeholders
- High levels of discretion, integrity, and professionalism
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Desirable: experience in engineering, manufacturing, construction, or operational environments
- Desirable: exposure to payroll and benefits administration systems
- Commitment to continuous professional development
What You'll Do / Key Responsibilities:
- Own and develop HR policies, handbook, and procedures to ensure compliance and consistency
- Lead end-to-end recruitment, from job design through to onboarding
- Manage performance processes, including KPIs, probation reviews, and appraisals
- Provide trusted HR advice to managers and senior leadership
- Handle employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management
- Ensure contracts and HR documentation are accurate and compliant
- Support training, development, and succession planning
- Promote a positive, engaging workplace culture and wellbeing
- Liaise with payroll to ensure accurate data processing
- Administer employee benefits and support ongoing improvements
