VANRATH is proud to partner with a prominent manufacturing organisation based in Belfast to recruit an experienced Human Resources Officer. This is a temporary 3-month contract, offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a well-established HR function within a fast-paced industrial environment.

What You\’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will provide hands-on HR support across a range of key activities, with a strong focus on:

  • Advising line managers and employees on employee relations matters such as grievances, disciplinaries, and attendance management.

  • Managing or supporting low-level investigations and ensuring compliance with company policies.

  • Playing an active role in recruitment and onboarding processes, including interview coordination and documentation handling.

  • Maintaining accurate HR records and supporting the preparation of reports and metrics.

  • Assisting in delivering wellbeing programmes, HR projects, and wider organisational initiatives.

  • Drafting contracts, employment letters, and job descriptions.

  • Supporting community engagement projects including school outreach and careers events.

What We\’re Looking For

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant third-level qualification and/or CIPD certification.

  • At least 3 years of experience in a generalist HR position.

  • Proven track record in managing employee relations cases and advising line managers.

  • Strong working knowledge of employment legislation.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.

  • Competency with Microsoft Office and HR information systems.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with HR/time management systems.
