We are currently recruiting for a Technical Support Analyst to join a leading organisation's Business Solutions team on a temporary 6+ month contract, with strong potential for extension or progression to a permanent role. This Technical Support Analyst role is ideal for someone with a background in general IT support and a particular interest in application support. You will play a key role in supporting core business systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical and application support to business users, including troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
- Administer systems including user access, permissions, and ongoing maintenance.
- Monitor applications, batch jobs, interfaces, and integrations to ensure optimal performance.
- Analyse data outputs to ensure accuracy and identify risks or inconsistencies.
- Work closely with development teams and third-party vendors to implement enhancements and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain data integrity through effective data management and governance of key master data.
- Accurately log and manage incidents through the helpdesk system, maintaining documentation and knowledge bases.
- Support the creation of user guides and deliver end-user training where required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and recommending solutions.
Criteria
- Experience in an Application Support role.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across systems and applications.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) or similar business applications.
- Good understanding of business processes.
- Confident working with data, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to support users at all levels.
- Ability to manage workload effectively and prioritise tasks.
