About you:
- Hold a Transport Manager CPC qualification
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the transport sector
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance standards
- Possess a category C E driving license
- Excellent communicator with leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams
- Practical approach, highly organised, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
What you'll do:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of transport across multiple depots
- Optimise route planning and scheduling for HGV vehicles
- Monitor driver hours, compliance, and adherence to legal standards like tachographs and driver regulations
- Support HR in driver inductions, appraisals, disciplinary procedures, and training
- Conduct investigations into driver misdemeanours and implement corrective actions
- Oversee vehicle maintenance, safety protocols, and ensure PPE and manuals are up to date
- Maintain compliance with H&S policies and administrative duties such as incident reporting and customer complaints
- Collaborate with senior logistics teams to improve policies and support departmental back-up needs
