About you
- Proven experience in senior financial management, ideally within a charity or healthcare setting
- Strong technical accounting skills, ideally with knowledge of Charity SORP (FRS 102) and regulatory requirements
- Leadership experience managing and developing finance teams
- Excellent understanding of financial controls, compliance, and risk management
- Advanced proficiency with financial systems and ERP platforms
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
What you'll do
- Lead the operational delivery of the finance function, ensuring timely, accurate processing across all core areas
- Oversee statutory reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance, acting as the primary liaison with external auditors
- Support strategic financial planning through budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, including leading or supporting systems upgrades and automation initiatives
- Manage and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth
- Ensure robust financial governance and risk management practices are in place and maintained
- Support the delivery of the Finance Digital Futures project, monitoring progress, and ensuring objectives are met
