They are now seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Finance to lead their finance team and ensure financial stability and compliance across the organisation.

About you

  • Proven experience in senior financial management, ideally within a charity or healthcare setting
  • Strong technical accounting skills, ideally with knowledge of Charity SORP (FRS 102) and regulatory requirements
  • Leadership experience managing and developing finance teams
  • Excellent understanding of financial controls, compliance, and risk management
  • Advanced proficiency with financial systems and ERP platforms
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data

What you'll do

  • Lead the operational delivery of the finance function, ensuring timely, accurate processing across all core areas
  • Oversee statutory reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance, acting as the primary liaison with external auditors
  • Support strategic financial planning through budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
  • Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, including leading or supporting systems upgrades and automation initiatives
  • Manage and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth
  • Ensure robust financial governance and risk management practices are in place and maintained
  • Support the delivery of the Finance Digital Futures project, monitoring progress, and ensuring objectives are met
