Facilities Manager - Data Centre Project Location: Coleraine Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum An exciting opportunity to join a major new investment in Coleraine A significant new investment is creating a major data centre project in Coleraine, and we are looking to appoint an experienced Facilities Manager to play a key role in the development and establishment of the site. This is an opportunity to join the project at an early stage, giving the successful candidate the chance to help shape how the facilities function operates as the site moves through development, commissioning and into full operation. We are looking for someone with strong experience across facilities management, critical infrastructure, utilities and contractor management, who can take ownership of the site's facilities strategy and build robust maintenance and operational processes from the ground up. The Role Reporting into the senior management team, you will take responsibility for the effective management of the site's facilities, infrastructure and supporting services. As the project develops, you will be responsible for establishing the systems, processes, contractors and maintenance arrangements required to support a highly reliable operational environment. Key responsibilities will include: Lead the development and mobilisation of the site's facilities management function Establish maintenance strategies, asset registers and planned preventative maintenance programmes Develop and implement facilities procedures, standards and operating processes Manage specialist contractors, service providers and facilities partners Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities Manage critical building services and site infrastructure Oversee electrical distribution, utilities, HVAC and mechanical systems Develop contractor management, compliance and performance processes Establish and monitor facilities KPIs and performance measures Coordinate planned maintenance, outages and shutdown activities Ensure RAMS, permits and safe systems of work are in place Manage statutory compliance, inspections and audit requirements Monitor asset condition and develop lifecycle and replacement strategies Manage procurement, contracts, materials and inventory Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and energy performance Support capital projects and future site development Work closely with engineering, construction, operations and project teams Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external contractors Take ownership of facilities issues and drive them through to resolution Building the Function Given the early stage of the project, this is not simply a role maintaining an established facility. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help establish the facilities operation from the ground up - putting the right systems, processes, maintenance schedules, contractors and standards in place before the site becomes fully operational. You will have a genuine opportunity to influence how the facility is maintained and operated for years to come. About You We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager who is comfortable operating in a complex engineering, manufacturing, critical infrastructure or data centre environment. You will ideally have experience managing: Critical electrical infrastructure HV/LV electrical systems Transformers and switchgear HVAC and cooling systems Chillers and boilers Compressed air and other utilities Building services and infrastructure Specialist contractors and service providers PPM and reactive maintenance programmes Compliance, RAMS and permit systems Maintenance management systems / CMMS You will also need to be a strong leader and communicator, capable of coordinating multiple stakeholders and taking ownership of facilities performance. Experience & Qualifications Significant experience within Facilities Management, Engineering or Maintenance Experience managing critical infrastructure and building services Strong contractor and supplier management experience Experience developing PPM and asset management strategies Strong understanding of Health & Safety and statutory compliance Experience managing budgets, procurement and maintenance resources Strong IT and reporting skills Electrical or engineering background would be highly advantageous Experience within a data centre, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, utilities or other critical environment would be desirable What's on Offer £65,000 - £70,000 salary Opportunity to join a major new investment in the Coleraine area Early-stage involvement in a significant new project Opportunity to build and shape the facilities function Significant long-term career opportunity High level of responsibility and autonomy Opportunity to work with modern, critical infrastructure Long-term opportunity as the facility develops and becomes operational To apply, please submit your CV or contact for a confidential discussion.
