VANRATH are partnering with Irelands most revolutionary Tech focused EV Charging Company that is changing the charging network infrastructure throughout NI. This company is looking to recruit an EV Sales Electrician who wants to make the move into a sales role (No sales experience necessary though helpful). This role involves on-call duties, and covers NI. This role is opening due to a recent promotion. Office is based in Belfast, with home working being offered – Permanent position – Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm The candidatures will be supplied with a company vehicle, laptop, mobile phone, and all PPE etc. Salary £35,000 – £40,000 + Commission (£50,000 on target earnings) + Vehicle & Fantastic Benefits + Progression Opportunities… Responsibilities Scope, identify and convert opportunities for Electric Vehicle charging solutions Workplace, Fleet and shared parking locations across Ireland. Identify new partnership opportunities and develop new business, nurturing these relationships to support the continued growth and success of the company. Conduct site surveys to assess the feasibility of EV charging installations, identify potential challenges and recommend solutions to ensure successful project deployment. Collaborate with the Operations team to develop accurate cost estimates for EV projects, considering all relevant factors, materials, labour, and equipment required. Work on creating pricing strategies that optimise costs while ensuring profitability for EV projects. Continuously review and refine pricing models. Negotiate and secure subcontractors at agreed-upon rates to support the project’s requirements and budget constraints. Promoting our products and services to prospective clients through prospecting, face-to-face consultations, owning customer contact from lead to successful agreement of signed contract. Meet and exceed targets and deliver sales through high levels of self-driven activity. Maintain accurate records of all estimates, pricing data, and subcontractor agreements, ensuring proper documentation for reference and auditing purposes. Be an ambassador for the company to maintain and enhance our reputation with customers and partners within the industry. Foster effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and subcontractors, to achieve project goals and maintain cost efficiency. Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of our EV charging solutions and associated technologies such as distribution systems, cabling, routing, protective devices, and installation methods. Understand the market dynamics in detail i.e. key customers, material costs, labour rates, industry challenges, emerging technologies, and market trends etc. Ensure all communications are thoroughly and efficiently recorded on our internal CRM system. Any other duties pertinent to the role as required. Criteria Time served electrician (18th edition) with strong civil engineering knowledge, proven experience in a technical sales or estimator role, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in relevant software. Technical knowledge of EV charging infrastructure and associated technologies. Strong understanding of civil engineering practices and methods. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate cost estimations. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in relevant software and tools for cost estimation and project management. Be a self-starter, able to work autonomously and be driven by the need to exceed targets. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications. Experience of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or equivalent system. Full clean UK/ROI driving licence. Desirable Criteria Proven success in B2B sales or similar in technology, construction, electrical, renewables or EV Charging industries is desirable. Previous experience in conducting site assessments. Industry certifications related to EV charging technology (e.g., EVSE, EVITP).
