About you

  • A third level qualification in Accounts (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent
  • Previous experience working within cost accountancy in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and account systems; Oracle experience is desirable
  • Knowledge of internal controls, audit processes, and UK/US GAAP
  • Results-driven, energetic, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Flexible, with a willingness to cross-train within a dynamic finance team

What you'll do

  • Maintain and cost machinery, materials, labour, and overheads, setting annual standards
  • Review machine margins and manage inventories, including cycle counts and variance analysis
  • Monitor raw material prices and control factory overheads and efficiency metrics
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes; identify and implement cost reduction opportunities
  • Prepare month-end financial reports in a timely manner to meet reporting deadlines
  • Assist in internal and external audits, and support internal control reviews
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in business intelligence and management reporting
  • Provide KPI data and support financial management activities across departments
