You'll take ownership of projects from concept through to production, working closely with Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain teams to deliver robust, high-quality engineering solutions. What You'll Be Doing Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll lead the design and development of new and existing products, ensuring designs meet customer requirements, manufacturing capability and industry standards. Producing 3D models, detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation. Leading projects from concept, prototyping and testing through to full production release. Working closely with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure products are optimised for efficient manufacture and assembly (DFM/DFA). Collaborating with Production, Quality and Supply Chain teams to resolve technical challenges. Carrying out design calculations, engineering analysis and product validation where required. Mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance across the engineering team. A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or a related engineering discipline. Several years' experience within a Design Engineer or Senior Design Engineer position. Strong 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, Solid Edge or similar). A strong understanding of engineering materials, manufacturing processes and assembly techniques. Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and engineering change management. A proactive approach with a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions. 45,000 - £55,000 salary depending on experience. Private healthcare for you and your dependants.
