VANRATH are thrilled to be assisting an industry leading Logistics & Transport organisation in Dungannon with the recruitment of an Agricultural Business Development Manager to join their expanding team. You will be looking after agricultural products; animal feeds, animal beddings and solid fuels - the company distributes throughout Ireland. This is a position that requires combining excellent organisational skills, people skills and multitasking skills. This is a Monday - Friday position with an alternate Saturday (half day).

Role

The business developer will be responsible for connecting the Company’s range of agricultural products with our customers throughout the UK and Ireland and will be responsible for providing technical knowledge, support and aftercare services to new and existing customers within the agricultural sector.

Salary

£40,000 - £45,000 per year + fantastic benefits in a modern workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Promoting and securing sales of Agri/fuel products
  • Managing key accounts and identifying emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and market trends
  • Achieving growth and hitting sales targets and KPIs by successfully managing the sales
  • Communicating sales orders and engaging with the production team to ensure stock levels and manufacturing needs are met
  • Purchasing of raw straw and associated bedding materials
  • Processing sales invoices, managing credit accounts and controlling credit and debtors.

The Ideal Person

  • Third-level qualification in a Sales or Agricultural related discipline, or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience working within agriculture
  • A record of generating sales within a commercial environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and software systems
  • Clean Driving License.

Desirable Criteria

  • Agricultural and/or Account managing / Business development experience in a working capacity
  • Excellent geographical awareness of rural Northern Ireland.
  • Third level qualification in Sales, Agriculture or Marketing.
