Work Pattern: 5 days from 7 (including Sundays), on a rotating shift pattern of 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm.

The Role
- Supporting the Operations Manager in running the day‑to‑day warehouse operation, and deputising in their absence to keep workflow on track.
- Taking ownership of a warehouse team and driving them to achieve daily output and productivity targets.
- Coaching, mentoring and supporting team members, while monitoring individual and team performance.
- Ensuring operational procedures and warehouse documentation are followed correctly and kept up to date.
- Carrying out routine safety inspections and escalating any hazards without delay.
- Championing a strong health and safety culture and upholding company standards at all times.
- Planning and coordinating daily activity across picking, packing, loading, goods‑in and wider operational support.
- Communicating clearly across the operation and helping to build an engaged, motivated team.
- Keeping accurate records and ensuring operational standards are consistently met.
- Delivering against all warehouse KPIs.
- Bringing a continuous improvement mindset—spotting inefficiencies and helping to drive positive change.
The Ideal Person
- Previous experience at supervisory or team‑lead level within a warehouse or operations setting.
- A proven ability to maximise team productivity and hit targets.
- Strong organisational and administration skills, with the ability to problem‑solve in a fast‑moving environment.
- A confident communicator with a genuine appetite to grow as a leader.
- Customer‑focused, driven and comfortable working to tight deadlines.
- Computer literate, including Excel, Outlook and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
