Our client operates in construction and asset management, delivering services across a multi-site government estate with varied risk profiles. You'll be joining an environment where safety assurance, contractor engagement and CDM compliance are central to delivering work safely‑alongside regular reporting cycles and engagement with senior stakeholders.
About you - Essential
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- NEBOSH National Diploma (or equivalent) or NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum)
- Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation with practical experience applying CDM
- Proven experience in a Health & Safety role across construction, property or facilities management environments
- Experience conducting site inspections, audits and risk assessments
- Ability to review RAMS / construction phase planning documentation and support contractor assurance
- Experience investigating incidents/near misses, identifying root causes and driving corrective actions
Nice to have skills
- Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g. IOSH), ideally working towards or holding Chartered status
- Trained Accident Investigator qualification
Preferred education and experience
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline (desirable)
- Background in Health & Safety across construction/maintenance environments, particularly where CDM aligned activity is involved
Other requirements
- Hybrid role based in Belfast (expect 2-3 days per week in the office)
- Ability to travel between sites as required for multi-site assurance activity
- Will be required to complete a Counter Terrorism check
