This is a rare opportunity to step into a pure advisory-focused tax role, working directly with senior leadership on high-value, complex projects within a globally connected firm. VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a leading mid-tier accountancy and advisory firm to recruit a CTA-qualified tax professional into their growing Derry / Londonderry office. This is a key hire within a scaling team, offering genuine progression to Director level and exposure to work typically seen in larger firms.
The Role
This position is ideally suited to an ambitious Manager or Senior Manager who is keen to move away from compliance-heavy work and focus on high-impact advisory. You will work closely with Partners on a wide range of complex projects, gaining direct exposure to strategic decision-making and client-facing advisory from day one.

What You Will Do
- Lead and deliver complex tax advisory projects from planning through to execution
- Work closely with Partners on strategic and high-value client engagements
- Provide commercially focused tax advice to a diverse client portfolio
- Support transactions including mergers, acquisitions and restructuring projects
- Advise on international tax matters and cross-border structuring
- Build strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
- Mentor and support the development of junior team members

Requirements
- CTA qualified (essential)
- ACA / ACCA qualified or equivalent
- Strong experience within tax advisory, ideally gained in practice
- Solid technical knowledge across corporate tax with exposure to advisory work
- Commercial mindset with the ability to translate technical advice into practical outcomes
- Ambitious and driven, with a clear interest in progression
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
