VANRATH is working with a well-established organisation in Derry/Londonderry to appoint an HR Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy HR team, providing administrative support across a range of HR activities in a professional and supportive environment. This role will be office-based.

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000

About You:

  • You must have previous experience supporting HR operations
  • Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Experience using an HR information system (HRIS) and Microsoft Office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support recruitment activities, including interview coordination and candidate communication to ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Coordinate onboarding and compliance processes, including new starter documentation and Right to Work checks.
  • Prepare and administer HR documentation, including contracts, probation reviews, and employee relations records.
  • Manage employee queries via the HR inbox, escalating to the HR Manager where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, attendance and annual leave data within the HRIS, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Produce and distribute HR reports, providing data insights and administrative support to managers.
