A leading public sector organisation is seeking a highly organised Corporate Secretariat Manager to oversee governance, compliance, and board administration. This role supports the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and senior leadership, ensuring effective corporate governance and regulatory adherence.
Key Responsibilities
- Board & Committee Support - Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and track actions.
- Governance & Compliance - Maintain statutory records, ensure adherence to corporate policies, and manage conflict of interest registers.
- Information Management - Oversee document control, records management, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Stakeholder Liaison - Act as a key contact for board members, senior leadership, and external bodies.
Essential Criteria
Education & Experience: A degree or recognised professional qualification and at least 2 years' experience in the last 5 years in staff management, board/committee servicing, and corporate governance. OR an HND/HNC (NQF level 5) and 3 years' experience in the above areas. OR 5 years' experience, including 2 years' experience in formal board/committee servicing and governance advisory roles.
Key Skills & Knowledge:
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of corporate governance, records management, and business planning.
- Strong organisational, communication, and minute-taking skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Other Requirements:
Full UK driving licence and access to a car (or alternative transport for candidates with disabilities).
