About you
- 3+ years' experience in purchasing within a construction environment
- Proven understanding of procurement processes, especially in subcontract packages
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; IT literate
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Well-organised, proactive, and confident in managing multiple priorities
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Flexible regarding site locations within the UK & Ireland
- Hold the right to work in the UK
What you'll do
- Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontract packages to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, including onboarding new vendors
- Identify potential supply issues early and communicate risks to project teams
- Support supplier verification, validation, and performance management processes
- Drive cost savings initiatives through process improvements and alternative sourcing
- Ensure all purchase requisitions and orders are processed efficiently and accurately
