Due to continued growth and ambitious expansion plans, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a proven Bid Manager to step into a pivotal role within the business, with the scope to build and lead a dedicated bids function over time.
The Ideal Person
- You will be an experienced bid professional with a background in the civil engineering or construction sector, ideally within a contractor environment.
- You will be highly organised, commercially aware and confident managing the full bid lifecycle, while working closely with senior stakeholders and technical teams.
Responsibilities
- As Bid Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end bid process, including:
- Monitoring procurement portals and other channels for new tender opportunities
- Leading the preparation, coordination and submission of high-quality bids and tenders
- Writing and tailoring CVs, case studies and capability statements
- Developing and maintaining a central bid library and templates
- Supporting wider business development and growth strategies
- Establishing best practice procedures for bid management
- Playing a key role in developing and leading the bid function as the business grows
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience managing bids within the civil engineering or construction sector
- Excellent written, editing and communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
- Confident working independently and collaboratively with senior colleagues
- Commercially aware with an interest in business development
- Ambitious and adaptable with a desire to progress
Remuneration
£35,000 - £45,000 DOE + an excellent benefits package, including:
- 30 days paid holiday per annum (including public holidays)
