An exceptional opportunity for a senior compliance professional to step into a pivotal leadership role at a scaling, high-growth financial services organisation. As Head of Risk & Compliance - UK, you will take ownership of regulatory compliance, governance, and risk frameworks, embedding a robust culture of accountability and assurance. This role is hybrid with remote flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as UK Compliance Lead and MLRO, ensuring compliance with FCA and other regulatory frameworks
- Manage and deliver the UK Compliance Monitoring Plan and Risk Management Programme
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Provide strategic oversight on regulatory engagement, reporting, and policy adherence
- Support the business in navigating new product and geographic launches
- Oversee internal audits, regulatory submissions, and suspicious activity reports
- Monitor legal and regulatory changes and translate these into actionable insights
- Drive best practices across risk mitigation, controls, and governance
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years' experience in senior compliance or risk roles within UK Financial Services, Payments, or FinTech
- Demonstrated experience with FCA expectations, EMI licence procedures, and regulatory audits
- In-depth knowledge of AML/CTF, GDPR, and Consumer Protection regulations
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally
- Experience managing regulator relationships, compliance audits, and internal governance

- Experience working in a multilingual, cross-border environment
- Familiarity with compliance tech tools and evolving regulatory trends
- Strong documentation, reporting, and analytical skills
