VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a returning client in the private sector, who are seeking to appoint a Communications Officer, who will support the organisation in effectively communicating and promoting its events and activities, and report into the Marketing & Communications Manager.
Salary: £25,000

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in promoting key events through digital channels, including social media.
- Develop and update content for the organisation's website, ensuring clear and engaging communication.
- Support event teams by preparing promotional materials and participant information packs, and assist with onsite administrative duties.
- Ensure event information is accurately updated on the website and communicated promptly to members and stakeholders.
- Maintain and update marketing databases, ensuring compliance with GDPR and organisational policies.
- Assist in drafting internal and external communications such as newsletters, emails, and press releases.
- Provide administrative support to the communications team, including scheduling meetings and managing documentation.
- Contribute to the delivery of the organisation's Marketing and Communications Strategy and participate in relevant training.
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs including English and Maths, plus 2 A Levels or equivalent.
- Experience managing digital communications and social media, including content creation and monitoring.
- Ability to build relationships and network effectively.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in MS Office and comfortable using databases and spreadsheets.
- Understanding of digital marketing fundamentals.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, with access to appropriate transport and insurance if using a personal vehicle.
