An established global engineering business is seeking a skilled Commissioning Engineer to support growing demand across its international customer base. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong background in aggregate washing machinery commissioning who is keen to travel and work on complex, large-scale projects worldwide.

The Role

You will play a key role in the installation, commissioning, and servicing of sand and gravel washing plants, including integrated water treatment systems. Acting as a technical expert, you will support both customers and global dealer networks, ensuring equipment is installed, optimised, and performing to the highest standards. This position offers a mix of site-based work across international locations and office-based duties focused on reporting, planning, and technical support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installation and commissioning of aggregate washing plants and associated water treatment systems
  • Providing technical support to global dealers and customers
  • Carrying out maintenance, servicing, and fault finding on machinery
  • Delivering post-commissioning support, including troubleshooting and performance optimisation
  • Assisting customers with technical queries and parts-related enquiries
  • Working closely with engineering teams to support product development and improvement
  • Preparing reports and supporting project planning activities
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a technical service or commissioning role within the materials processing or aggregate sector
  • Proven experience commissioning aggregate washing machinery is essential
  • Strong knowledge of pumps, cyclones, filter presses, water treatment systems, and material processing equipment
  • Electrical expertise with hands-on commissioning and troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, self-starting approach
  • Welding skills would be advantageous
  • Comfortable working in a customer-facing, international environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across different cultures
  • Full clean driving licence and valid passport
  • IT literate, including Microsoft Office
