VANRATH is delighted to be partnering with a long-standing client, a market-leading electrical wholesale business, to recruit a Business Development Manager. This is an exciting field-based opportunity covering the Donegal, Derry and Coleraine regions, focused on developing new business, growing existing accounts and working closely with the Derry branch to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities across the Donegal, Derry and Coleraine territory.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts.
- Build strong relationships with electrical contractors, industrial and commercial customers.
- Conduct regular customer visits, promoting the company's range of electrical products and solutions.
- Generate and follow up quotations, project enquiries and sales opportunities in partnership with the Derry branch.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and maximise revenue opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and identify opportunities for business growth.
- Work closely with internal sales, purchasing and suppliers to ensure excellent customer service and project delivery.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience within the electrical wholesale industry.
- Experience in an External Sales, Business Development, Key Account Management or Internal Sales role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical products and solutions.
- Proven success in developing new business and managing customer accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, commercially driven and able to manage a territory independently.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ideally based within the Donegal, Derry or Coleraine area.
