My client, a leading technology organisation within the insurance sector, is hiring an AI Engineer to join a newly established AI Centre of Excellence. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing cutting-edge AI solutions for global clients and shaping the future direction of AI within the business.
You will be part of a highly experienced and collaborative team delivering innovative AI-driven solutions to enterprise clients across multiple regions. The organisation is committed to investing in its people through continuous learning, professional development, and a supportive working environment.
As an AI Engineer, you will work closely with business stakeholders to design and deliver AI-powered solutions. You will develop and maintain large language models (LLMs) and AI agents, integrate them into enterprise systems, and continuously optimise performance, scalability, and security.
The Role- Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into AI solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain LLMs and AI agents in a cloud-based environment
- Integrate AI solutions into existing enterprise platforms
- Monitor and improve model performance, scalability, and security
- Ensure adherence to best practices in AI governance, quality, and responsible use
- Degree in Computing or a related discipline (2:1 or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in software development (including APIs)
- At least 1 year of experience building LLM-based solutions in a cloud environment
- Desirable: Experience within financial services, particularly insurance
- Relevant AI certifications (e.g. cloud AI fundamentals or AI engineering)
- Exposure to enterprise-scale AI deployments
