VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation in Belfast to recruit an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled infrastructure professional to join a growing IT team, supporting and maintaining critical systems while contributing to a range of exciting technology projects. The successful IT Infrastructure Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the organisation's IT infrastructure. This position offers exposure to modern technologies, project work, and a hybrid working environment, with the potential to secure a permanent role.

The Role

  • Support and maintain server, storage, and infrastructure environments
  • Administer Windows Server environments and core Microsoft technologies
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
  • Support Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
  • Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively resolve issues
  • Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and improvement projects
  • Manage virtualised environments using VMware or Hyper-V
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
  • Work closely with Service Desk and wider IT teams to resolve escalated issues
  • Ensure infrastructure security best practices are followed

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this IT Infrastructure Engineer opportunity, you should have:

  • Previous experience in an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Administrator, or IT Infrastructure Engineer role
  • Strong experience supporting Windows Server environments
  • Excellent knowledge of: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS
