The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Business Development Manager to play a key role in expanding the company's presence across the Republic of Ireland, while continuing to develop and strengthen an established customer base throughout Northern Ireland. This position combines strategic business development with account management and offers significant autonomy. The successful candidate will help shape and grow the company's sales function, with genuine progression opportunities as the business continues to expand.

Working closely with internal teams, you will represent a leading manufacturer of high-quality windows, doors and fire-rated door sets, building strong relationships with developers, architects, contractors and trade installers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Develop and implement strategies to grow market share across the Republic of Ireland. Identify new business opportunities within residential and commercial construction sectors. Build and maintain a strong pipeline through networking, prospecting and lead generation.
  • Account Management: Manage and develop existing customer relationships throughout Northern Ireland. Conduct regular client meetings and site visits to ensure excellent service and long-term customer retention.
  • Technical Sales Support: Advise clients on suitable window and door solutions, ensuring compliance with both Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland building regulations. Support customers throughout the full sales process, from initial enquiry through to project completion.
  • Sales & CRM Management: Maintain accurate CRM records, including customer activity, opportunities and forecasts. Monitor pipeline performance and provide regular sales reporting.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with production and internal departments to ensure successful project delivery. Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions and industry networking events.
  • Strategic Growth: Take ownership of your territory, managing your own diary and priorities. Contribute to the ongoing development of the company's sales strategy and future sales team.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Business Development or Sales role.
  • Previous experience within construction, manufacturing or the building products sector is highly desirable.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing longer sales cycles and negotiating high-value contracts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Full, clean driving licence with flexibility to travel throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, including occasional overnight stays.

Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge of the joinery, windows, doors or wider construction industry.
  • Understanding of fire door regulations and certification.
