VANRATH are working in partnership with a global leader in the manufacture and retail of commercial vehicles. Due to continued growth and investment in a state-of-the-art showroom, our client is now looking to appoint an experienced Truck Sales Executive to join their Northern Ireland operation. This opportunity is strictly suited to individuals with proven truck sales experience, ideally within a dealership or manufacturer-led environment.
Location: Mallusk
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm; Saturday working on a 1-in-6 rota
Package: £50,000 - £70,000 OTE, with a highly competitive commission structure and benefits package. The role also offers a stronger basic salary than many comparable sales positions in the market. There is a guaranteed commission offered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full end-to-end truck sales process, from initial enquiry through to final handover.
- Proactively develop new business relationships within the commercial and fleet market.
- Build and retain long-term partnerships with key customers across Northern Ireland.
- Present and demonstrate the technical, operational and financial advantages of the truck portfolio.
- Represent the brand at trade shows, industry events and customer open days.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM system to support pipeline management.
- Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales targets and KPIs.
Essential Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in truck sales (this is a mandatory requirement).
- Strong background in B2B or fleet-focused sales environments.
- Track record of winning new business and managing existing commercial accounts.
- Highly driven, performance-focused and comfortable working to targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Confident using CRM and dealer management systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Experience:
- Previous employment within a commercial vehicle dealership.
- Industry-recognised sales training or accreditation.
- Experience with systems such as Kerridge, Dealerweb or similar platforms.
- HGV licence or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong understanding of the truck, transport or wider commercial vehicle sector.
