VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for an experienced Tiler who can join our team in Belfast for the Kitchen and bathroom renewal project within the social housing sector. 3 months initially with the possibility of extension. You will predominantly be based in their Belfast site.

Responsibilities

  • To undertake all tiling work associated with the maintenance and refurbishment of Housing Executive stock/buildings including and not limited to:
  • Undertaking internal and external wall and floor tiling works.
  • Preparing and laying floor screed to a required level.
  • Fitting non-slip flooring, fixing the tiles and applying grout before finishing off.
  • Carry out a range of multi-skilled tasks and maintenance work outside of trade without reliance on other trades for example: Plastering, Plumbing, Joinery, Painting.

Requirements

  • Have successfully completed an apprenticeship in Tiling (either time served or skills based).
  • 2 years' post Apprenticeship Tiler experience.
  • Competent in core trade with ability to complete a range of tasks without input from other operatives.
  • Can demonstrate sound practical knowledge and understanding of current Health and Safety requirements and legislation in a maintenance/repair environment.
  • A full current driving licence to enable the post holder to carry out the required duties of this post.
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Access NI Required.

Remuneration

c£27,694 per annum, plus discount benefits.
