An established and growing local business is seeking a Systems Support Analyst to join its Business Systems team on an 11-month fixed-term contract. While initially offered on a fixed-term basis, there is a strong desire to make the role permanent for the right individual. This is an excellent opportunity for a Systems Support Analyst who enjoys problem-solving, working with business applications, and supporting colleagues across a range of operational functions.
The Role
- Provide first-line systems and application support, investigating and resolving user issues.
- Administer business systems, including user access, security, and ongoing maintenance.
- Monitor data quality and integrity, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with internal teams and third-party providers to implement system enhancements and resolve issues.
- Support interfaces, integrations, batch processes, and EDI activities.
- Maintain accurate helpdesk records and process documentation.
- Assist with the creation of user guides and deliver end-user training where required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across business systems and processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to resolve operational and system-related challenges.
About You
- Has experience of core business processes such as purchasing, sales, logistics, finance, or similar.
- Is comfortable analysing and interpreting data.
- Has strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Communicates effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Is organised, proactive, and eager to learn new systems and technologies.
- Can work independently while also contributing positively to a wider team.
- General IT Support background.
Desirable Experience
- Has exposure to SAP or another ERP/business system from a user or super-user perspective.
