An excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer / Site Manager to join a well-established contractor delivering a new build educational project in Northern Ireland. The business has a strong reputation for quality delivery, high HSQE standards and investing in its people. The Ideal Person
- You will hold a third-level qualification in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or a closely related discipline) and have a minimum of 3+ years' experience in a Site Engineer or Site Management role.
- You will be self-motivated, technically strong, and capable of managing site activities from early stages through to completion.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating civil and structural works and day-to-day site operations.
- Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, designers and supply chain partners.
- Assisting with procurement of labour, materials and BOQ items.
- Managing programme timelines and supporting delivery on time and within budget.
- Preparing engineering reports, method statements and commissioning schedules.
- Managing Health & Safety documentation and enforcing safe work practices onsite.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical submittals.
- Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings and standards.
- Conducting subcontractor inspections and quality checks.
- Chairing technical and interface coordination meetings.
- Providing accurate site records, reports and progress updates to senior management.
- Supporting risk assessments and site surveys to mitigate design or construction issues.
Essential Criteria
- Third-level degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
- 3+ years' experience in a similar Site Engineer / Site Management role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles and design.
- Ability to work on own initiative and within a team environment.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Track record of delivering projects from start to finish.
- Full EU / Irish driving licence.
- Relevant third-party Health & Safety site management training.
Remuneration
£50,000 - £60,000 per annum + attractive benefits package, including:
