Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain modern React applications using TypeScript and contemporary frontend tooling
- Design and implement type-safe APIs spanning frontend and backend systems
- Develop and support serverless backend functions and cloud-based infrastructure
- Work within monorepo architectures using modern build tools and package management systems
- Write and maintain automated tests including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Optimise frontend performance including load times, bundle size, caching strategies, and Core Web Vitals
- Conduct code reviews and maintain high standards across TypeScript, security, and code quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, user-focused solutions
Required Experience
- 5+ years' professional experience in JavaScript or TypeScript development
- Strong expertise in React and modern frontend architecture
- Experience with modern build tools and monorepo-based development environments
Desirable Experience
- Experience with API design and type-safe communication patterns
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services and infrastructure as code
- Experience with modern UI frameworks and component libraries
- Knowledge of testing strategies including unit, integration, and E2E testing
- Experience optimising performance in large-scale web applications
- Exposure to mobile development frameworks such as React Native
