This role is based on hybrid working - 2 days at home and 3 days in Belfast Office (Dargan Crescent). Permanent - Monday - Friday position. Job Purpose
- Lead all compliance aspects across Wholesale, Foodservice, Retail & Alcohol.
- Implement legislative changes (e.g., Windsor Framework, DRS, AWRS, EPR).
- Manage current and future compliance requirements.
- Update policies and procedures to reflect legislative changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate compliance processes and records.
- Provide expert input to business decision-making.
- Ensure all transactions comply with procedures and legislation.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors as needed.
- Support Finance in meeting legal and statutory compliance.
- Manage Compliance team, including Managers and Support Assistants.
- Standardise processes and lead compliance reviews across teams.
The Ideal Person
- Ideal candidates will have a business-related diploma or degree.
- Experienced in the management and governance of industry legislation and sustainability compliance is preferred.
- Sound analytical skills coupled with excellent planning and organising abilities and a strong commercial customer focus are required in this role.
- Ability to influence key internal and external stakeholders to deliver for the business.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experienced in the management and governance of industry legislation and sustainability compliance, including Windsor Framework, Tobacco Track and Trace, and Plastic Tax Duty paid and Duty deferred knowledge.
- Compliance experience in a wholesale/retail/alcohol environment.
