This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional to join a specialist Funds Tax team supporting a high-quality portfolio of UK and international private equity clients. The role offers exposure to a broad mix of compliance and advisory work, including UK tax reporting, transaction analysis, fund structuring and ad hoc advisory projects. You will work closely with other specialist teams, including private client tax professionals, advising principals and investors within private equity structures. This position is well suited to someone looking to step into a leadership role within a fast-growing team, offering strong progression prospects, client exposure and a flexible approach to working.
What You Will Do
- Lead the delivery of UK tax compliance and reporting for private equity houses and their UK investors.
- Manage and review UK tax transaction analysis, deal support and fund structuring work.
- Deliver technically complex advisory projects with a practical, commercial focus.
- Act as a trusted adviser to clients, managing relationships and expectations.
- Coach, mentor and develop junior members of the team through effective supervision and review.
- Play an active role in team development, people initiatives and talent retention.
- Contribute to business development activities, identifying and converting new opportunities.
- Support the strategic and operational management of the wider funds tax team.

Requirements
- Strong experience in UK funds tax, private equity tax or partnership taxation.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver complex tax compliance and advisory work.
- Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
- Experience coaching, mentoring and developing junior staff.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to identify and pursue business development opportunities.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
Qualifications
- CTA preferred; or ACA / ACCA / CA / ATT with relevant funds or private equity tax experience; or Demonstrable experience operating at Manager level within a funds or private equity tax environment.
