VANRATH is exclusively partnering with an industry leading transport company, presently seeking to appoint a new People Partner to join their Belfast based team on a permanent part time basis. The role will be available on three full days or five mornings. This role will be responsible for the Belfast and Dublin operations and will report directly into the Head of HR based in mainland UK. You will assume full ownership of all HR related matters for the two Irish sites delivering professional, pragmatic, and commercially focused HR advice and guidance to line managers and will partner the management teams across both sites. There will also be an opportunity to assist the wider HR team with projects across the division. There will be monthly travel to the Dublin site.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all Employee Relations matters, including discipline, grievance, performance capability and change management processes.
- Support in recruitment and onboarding activities to meet workforce requirements.
- Take full ownership of ill health capability / long term sickness procedures and occupational health referrals within the business areas.
- Act as the first point of contact for line-managers within your remit and take ownership for handling and resolving HR queries / issues raised by line managers and employees respectively.
The Person:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commercial outlook.
- Experience in a fast paced commercial HR role.
- Knowledge of HR processes, policies and good practice across NI and ROI jurisdictions.
- CIPD qualified level 5 with 3 years plus experience.
- Forward thinking, innovative, solution focused and resilient.
- Willingness to travel to Dublin site.
- Experience of restructuring, TUPE and change management beneficial.
