VANRATH are recruiting a Mechanical Site Supervisor to work for a leading M&E Contractor, based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Remuneration: £45,000 - £50,000 DOE car / allowance / package
Client: Leading M&E Contractor that have been operating for decades, providing M&E services across the UK and Ireland. The business has a great reputation for delivering quality projects on time, on budget, safely and to first class standards. They work across a range of sectors including commercial, industrial, health, education, leisure and residential.
The Opportunity: Due to continued growth and expansion, the business has an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Site Supervisor to join them on a permanent basis. Many projects are located in Northern Ireland, however, sometimes projects are in ROI or GB so the successful person will need to be willing to travel when required.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering projects on time and within budget
- Responsible for the control of labour and their coordination with other trades on-site
- Procurement of general day-to-day materials
- Procurement and management of hire equipment on-site
- Ensure all installations are of the highest quality
- Ensuring the installation complies with the latest relevant regulations
- Meeting with clients, main contractors, and subcontractors regularly
- Preparation of short-term lookahead programmes and inputting into the overall master programme
- Provide regular reports on progress and performance to the Contracts Manager
- Carry out site based Health, Safety and Quality inspections
Qualifications Required:
- Must have a plumbing / heating trade background
- Clean driving license
- Demonstrable Health and safety knowledge
- PC literate with competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Show care and attention to detail in all areas of installation
- Organised and disciplined in your planning and approach to work
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Self-motivated with a 'can-do' approach to work and willingness to learn and assist
- Excellent communication skills
- Work well and confidently as part of a team in a busy environment
