The Role
Working closely with solicitors and the wider property team, you will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support, helping to ensure residential property transactions progress efficiently from instruction through to completion. Key responsibilities will include:
- Producing legal documents, correspondence and reports.
- Managing digital dictation and document preparation.
- Opening new client matters and maintaining accurate records.
- Organising and updating electronic and paper-based files.
- Handling client and third-party enquiries via telephone and email.
- Managing diaries, appointments and general administration.
- Supporting solicitors with the day-to-day progression of conveyancing transactions.
- Ensuring documentation is accurately filed and stored in line with firm procedures.
Candidate Profile
To be considered, you should possess:
- Previous experience in a Legal Secretary, Legal Administrator or similar support role.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional and client-focused approach.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Experience within conveyancing or property law would be advantageous, although candidates with broader legal secretarial experience are also encouraged to apply.
