VANRATH are recruiting a Joiner to work within the Building Maintenance department for a large, leading Construction Company in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The business works on Social Housing projects in Belfast and they are looking for NVQ Level 3 qualified Joiners with good experience to carry out maintenance work to domestic properties. This is a permanent opportunity with an organisation that can provide long term career stability and progression.
Remuneration: £15 to £16 per hour DOE + van / fuel / package

General Overview: Responsible for the repair, maintenance, and installation of joinery components within residential properties managed by the company. This role combines expertise in joinery with skills in general maintenance tasks to ensure properties are structurally sound, aesthetically pleasing, and functional.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide a high-quality service, specifically within domestic properties
- Install and fit joinery components including locks, handles, hinges, and fittings
- Repair or replace damaged joinery components such as skirting boards, staircases, and kitchen units
- Installation of fire doors
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete assigned work orders within specified timelines
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Attend all relevant training courses, including all health and safety
- Ensure van stock is processed and managed accordingly
- Ensure that your work is carried out to the highest quality and within a reasonable amount of time
- Ensure any additional work is captured and communicated to the relevant person, so that the company can invoice for additional work completed
- Compliant in timeframes allocated for jobs, ensure target dates are met
- Compliance with materials / workmanship schedules
- Ensure areas of work are left clean, tidy and safe at all times
- Be responsible for and take due care of the company van in accordance with the company car policy
- Liaison with the client, consultants, contract administrator, head office etc.
- Be responsible for your own safety and all others around you
The Ideal Person:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Valid CSCS/CSR card
- Relevant on-site experience in a similar role
- Working knowledge of current Health and Safety Legislation
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to demonstrate good teamwork values
- Full, valid, clean driving license
- Experience working on Response Maintenance contracts is desirable
- Tetra training
