This is a fantastic opportunity to get your foot in the door with a great public sector organisation. While this is a temporary role, the desire is to appoint a long term candidate and make them permanent within the next 6 months. They are a small to mid-sized organisation across Northern Ireland, mostly based at their HQ in Belfast City Centre. Initially, this will be a fully on-site role until you are up to speed, then they offer hybrid working - typically 2 or 3 days per week in the office (there is flexibility here). You can start anytime between 8am and 10am, finish anytime between 4pm and 6pm.

They are looking for an IT Systems Manager to manage their existing services and relationships with 3rd party suppliers. This isn’t a hands-on technical role, but requires a good understanding of systems and IT services. It will be more focused on managing service agreements with suppliers, liaising with various system providers to ensure upgrades run smoothly, and will also involve some contract management and assisting the organisation in reviewing their ISO Standards - particularly ISO27001. In addition, you will assist the organisation in aligning their digital strategy with their corporate plans.

About you

  • Degree/HND
  • 3 years of relevant experience in the below:
    • IT / Systems project management
    • Managing service agreements with 3rd parties (reviewing SLAs, managing relationships, point of contact to support staff)
    • Procuring / managing contracts and suppliers
    • Experience in preparing for audits
    • Experience with ISO standards, ideally ISO27001
