A well-established logistics and distribution business operating across Northern Ireland, Ireland and Great Britain is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead its internal IT function. With multiple depots, a fleet of over 150 vehicles and approximately 400 employees, technology plays a critical role in supporting warehousing, transport planning and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of IT Support Engineers.
- Manage Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Azure environments.
- Oversee network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, VPNs and wireless networks across multiple sites.
- Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Manage cyber security, endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation and user awareness initiatives.
- Support warehouse technologies including handheld scanners, label printers and transport management systems (TMS).
- Deliver infrastructure improvement projects, including cloud migrations and hardware refreshes.
- Manage third-party suppliers, software licensing and the annual IT budget.
- Ensure IT services meet agreed SLAs and minimise downtime across warehouse and transport operations.
Essential:
- Proven experience in an IT Manager or senior IT leadership position
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, and cyber security
- Experience managing IT projects, budgets, and third-party providers
- Ability to align technology with wider business objectives
- Experience working within a fast-paced professional services or consultancy environment advantageous
- Knowledge of compliance, governance, and information security standards - ISO 27001
