This is an excellent opportunity for a driven technology professional to take ownership of the IT function, leading day-to-day operations while supporting the organisation's wider technology goals.
The successful IT Manager will be responsible for managing IT services, overseeing support operations, leading technical staff, managing third-party suppliers, and ensuring the smooth delivery of IT across the business.
The Role
- Lead and manage the day-to-day IT function
- Oversee Service Desk and End User Support operations
- Manage, mentor, and develop IT team members
- Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues
- Manage relationships with external suppliers, vendors, and technology partners
- Monitor and improve IT service performance across the organisation
- Ensure incidents, requests, and problems are managed effectively
- Support infrastructure, cloud, and business systems environments
- Lead IT projects, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with IT budgeting, forecasting, and technology planning
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to align IT services with business needs
- Ensure IT security, governance, and compliance standards are maintained
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in an IT Manager, IT Operations Manager, IT Support Manager, or similar leadership role
- Proven experience managing Service Desk or IT Support teams
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- Experience managing third-party suppliers and service providers
- Knowledge of Microsoft technologies including: Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, Intune, Windows Server
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking, and end-user support environments
- Experience managing IT projects and service improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Desirable ITIL certification
- Previous experience within a multi-site environment
- Experience managing outsourced IT services
- Exposure to cyber security and governance frameworks
- Project management experience
