ICT Support Technician – Belfast (Temporary β†’ 2 years, opportunity for perm)

Are you an experienced IT professional looking to advance your career in a dynamic environment? A cyber security organisation in Northern Ireland is seeking a skilled ICT Support Technician to join their team in Belfast City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide high-quality IT support while gaining exposure to cyber security practices in a supportive, hybrid working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide remote and in-person IT support as an ICT Support Technician, assisting users via service desk, phone, email, and remote tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and account-related issues.
  • Support Windows environments, including configuration, troubleshooting, and user guidance.
  • Manage devices and applications through Microsoft Intune, applying MDM/MAM policies and deployments.
  • Perform account administration, including Active Directory tasks and password resets.
  • Configure and set up desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, ticket notes, and knowledge base articles.
  • Assist with IT projects, rollouts, and upgrades as needed, following internal security standards.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience providing 1st and 2nd line IT support in a professional environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune and device management.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Basic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/WAN).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new IT skills.

Additional Details

  • Location: Belfast City Centre, Northern Ireland
  • Hours: 36 per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
  • Salary: Circa 30-35k per annum
