About you
- Demonstrable experience in senior financial management and governance within a complex organisation
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Sound knowledge of corporate governance, public sector finance, and audit processes
- Excellent strategic planning and policy development capabilities
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Relevant professional qualification such as CCAB, CA, or equivalent
What you'll do
- Provide high-level leadership over finance and governance functions, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and objectives
- Oversee budget management of over £20m, maintaining compliance with policies and funding requirements
- Lead implementation of governance frameworks, risk management, and financial controls to ensure organisational integrity
- Direct internal and external audit processes, ensuring recommendations are effectively implemented
- Support senior management and the Board through insightful advice, reports, and strategic input
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, policies, and systems to enhance efficiency and accountability
