A well-established organisation is seeking a Clerical Telephonist / Receptionist to provide front-of-house and administrative support within a busy office environment. This is a key role acting as the first point of contact for visitors, members and stakeholders, while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of reception and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a busy switchboard, handling and directing incoming calls efficiently
  • Provide a professional reception service, welcoming all visitors
  • Respond to general queries and direct enquiries to the appropriate teams
  • Manage incoming and outgoing post, including logging and distribution
  • Maintain visitor records, parcel handling and general office coordination
  • Support administrative processes including filing, invoicing and record-keeping
  • Monitor office supplies and coordinate stationery orders
  • Assist with room bookings and basic finance administration
  • Provide general administrative support across the wider team as required

About You

  • Previous experience in a reception or administrative role
  • Confident managing a high volume of calls in a professional manner
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience supporting basic finance or invoicing processes is desirable
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
