VANRATH are delighted to be working with a highly regarded advisory firm as they continue to grow their specialist Employment Tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Manager or Manager to step into a client-facing role offering strong progression, varied technical exposure, and the chance to make a real impact within a high-performing team.
The Role
This is a specialist Employment Tax position with a focus on share schemes, benefits, and compliance. You will work closely with a diverse client base, from owner-managed businesses through to large corporates, advising across a broad range of employment tax matters while building expertise in a high-demand and evolving area.
What You Will Do
- Manage a portfolio of clients across employment tax matters
- Advise on share schemes including EMI, CSOP and other equity-based incentives
- Oversee and review P11D and benefits-in-kind reporting
- Provide guidance on PAYE, NIC and wider employment tax compliance
- Support with HMRC enquiries and investigations
- Deliver advisory work around remuneration planning and reward structures
- Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development

Requirements
- ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified or nearing completion
- Strong experience in employment taxes, including P11Ds and benefits
- Exposure to share schemes (EMI/CSOP) is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of PAYE and NIC
- Confident communicator with strong client-facing ability
- Commercial awareness and an interest in advisory work
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
