A prestigious international law firm is seeking an Employment Solicitor (up to 6 years PQE) to join their growing Belfast team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new team in Belfast, working closely with an international employment practice on a wide range of high-quality, varied, and interesting work. You will advise blue-chip and multinational clients across sectors including financial services, TMT, pharmaceutical, transport, consumer, and retail, gaining exposure to both domestic and international employment law matters. The role offers involvement in global projects and transactions, high-profile domestic instructions, complex litigation, and strategic HR advisory work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising on all aspects of employment law, including TUPE transfers, redundancy processes, employment aspects of corporate transactions, and strategic HR matters
- Supporting multi-jurisdictional projects such as global restructurings, policy rollouts, and compliance reviews
- Managing Employment Tribunal claims, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, and equal pay matters (with appropriate supervision)
- Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, settlement agreements, and workplace policies
- Assisting with and conducting investigations into workplace grievances and whistleblowing allegations
- Advising on data privacy matters and supporting data subject access requests
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified Solicitor in Northern Ireland and/or England & Wales with up to 6 years' PQE
- Excellent academic background and strong employment law experience gained in a leading employment practice
- Experience handling both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Commercially aware, proactive, and able to work effectively in a collaborative, international team
- Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach
