A leading commercial law firm is seeking an Employment Associate (1-3 years' PQE) to join its highly regarded Belfast team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious employment solicitor to work on complex, high-profile employment matters for major UK and international clients. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad mix of contentious and advisory work, including Employment Tribunal litigation, restructuring projects, senior executive issues, corporate transactions and cross-border employment matters.
The Role
- Working as part of a collaborative and well-resourced employment team, you will advise clients across a wide range of sectors on:
- Employment law and HR advisory matters
- Employment Tribunal claims and litigation
- Restructuring and redundancy exercises
- Discrimination, whistleblowing and grievance issues
- Senior executive and board-level employment matters
- Employment aspects of mergers, acquisitions and outsourcing projects
- International and cross-border employment law issues
You will work closely with experienced employment specialists on strategic projects, complex disputes and business-critical workforce matters for a high-quality client base.
About You
- Applications are welcomed from solicitors with 1-3 years' PQE and a strong grounding in employment law gained within a commercial practice. You will ideally have experience in:
- Employment Tribunal litigation
- Advisory employment law work
- Restructuring and redundancy matters
- Discrimination and whistleblowing claims
- Senior employee relations issues
Experience supporting corporate transactions, outsourcing projects or cross-border matters would be advantageous but is not essential. You will also possess:
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and client management abilities
- Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
- The ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- A genuine desire to develop your career within a leading employment practice
