An established and highly successful manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join its engineering team. The Role

As part of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of a wide range of electrical systems and production equipment. Working closely with production and maintenance colleagues, you will respond to breakdowns, carry out preventative maintenance activities, and contribute to projects aimed at improving plant performance, efficiency, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical maintenance and repair activities across plant and facility equipment
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults on production machinery and associated systems
  • Maintain motors, drives, control panels, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Utilise PLC and automation systems for fault-finding and troubleshooting
  • Support preventative maintenance programmes to minimise downtime
  • Interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Assist with electrical installations, upgrades, and improvement projects
  • Support energy efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with production and mechanical maintenance teams
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures

The Person

  • Relevant Level 3 Qualification
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience working with motors, drives, control systems, and industrial equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • A proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving
  • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
