An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Construction Project Manager to join a progressive and well-established consultancy team based in their Belfast office, delivering a varied portfolio of commercial developments and heritage-led projects across the UK and Ireland. This role sits within a professional client advisory / consultancy environment and offers exposure to interesting, technically diverse schemes alongside a collaborative and supportive team. Hybrid and flexible working is available.
As Construction Project Manager, you will operate in a client-facing consultancy capacity, managing construction projects from inception through to completion and delivering full pre- and post-contract Project Management services. The role offers autonomy, responsibility, and direct client engagement, working across both modern commercial schemes and historic / conservation projects with support from senior consultancy colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors and supply chain partners to ensure programme, cost, quality and risk are effectively managed.
- Production of Employer's Requirements and project documentation.
- Contract administration duties in a consultancy capacity.
- Chairing and minuting project meetings.
- Managing value engineering and risk workshops.
- Undertaking site and works inspections during construction.
- Inspecting works at completion on behalf of the client.
The Ideal Person
You will hold a third-level qualification in Project Management or a construction-related discipline and have a minimum of 5+ years' experience delivering construction projects in either a consultancy, client-side, or contractor Project Management role. Candidates from Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or contractor-side Project Management backgrounds are encouraged to apply, particularly those seeking to move into a long-term consultancy / client advisory position. You will have strong communication and organisational skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
Desirable Criteria
Experience or a relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Estimating would be advantageous.
Remuneration
Up to £55,000+ DOE plus a competitive benefits package and hybrid working.
