Supporting projects across motorsport, aerospace, and space industries, this business produces high-performance components where precision is everything.

This is an opportunity to join a highly technical environment working with materials including Titanium (Ti64), Aluminium, Stainless Steel, and Inconel 718, machining complex components to tolerances tighter than 0.05mm within an AS9100 quality environment.

The Role:

  • As a 5-Axis CNC Machinist, you'll take ownership of complex one-off and low-volume components from initial set-up through to final inspection.
  • Working within a small, skilled team, you'll be trusted to deliver elite-level quality under tight lead times in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full machine set-up and operation of 5-axis CNC milling centres
  • Develop and prove out work holding solutions for complex additive manufactured geometries
  • Machine precision components to tolerances of =0.05mm
  • Optimise tooling, feeds, and speeds for efficiency and quality
  • Carry out in-process verification and final inspection
  • Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, Go/NoGo gauges and FARO inspection arms
  • Maintain accurate inspection records in line with AS9100 standards
  • Collaborate closely with programming, additive manufacturing, and QA teams to ensure right-first-time delivery

The Person:

We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • 2-3 years' experience operating and setting 5-axis CNC milling machines
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling selection
  • Experience working to tight tolerances within a precision engineering environment
  • Ability to work independently and perform under pressure

  • GD&T, metrology, CMM inspection, or SPC knowledge
  • Experience machining titanium or Inconel components

Why Apply?

  • Work on cutting-edge projects across motorsport, aerospace, and space sectors
  • Opportunity to machine highly complex, elite-level components
  • Small, highly skilled engineering environment with real ownership and autonomy
