We are recruiting on behalf of an innovative advanced manufacturing company operating at the forefront of CNC machining and metal additive manufacturing. Supporting projects across motorsport, aerospace, and space industries, this business produces high-performance components where precision is everything. This is an opportunity to join a highly technical environment working with materials including Titanium (Ti64), Aluminium, Stainless Steel, and Inconel 718, machining complex components to tolerances tighter than 0.05mm within an AS9100 quality environment.
The Role:
- Full machine set-up and operation of 5-axis CNC milling centres
- Develop and prove out work holding solutions for complex additive manufactured geometries
- Machine precision components to tolerances of =0.05mm
- Optimise tooling, feeds, and speeds for efficiency and quality
- Carry out in-process verification and final inspection
- Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, Go/NoGo gauges and FARO inspection arms
- Maintain accurate inspection records in line with AS9100 standards
- Collaborate closely with programming, additive manufacturing, and QA teams to ensure right-first-time delivery
The Person:
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:
- 2-3 years' experience operating and setting 5-axis CNC milling machines
- Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling selection
- Experience working to tight tolerances within a precision engineering environment
- Ability to work independently and perform under pressure
- Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
- A genuine passion for high-performance manufacturing and precision engineering
Desirable Experience:
- Metal additive manufacturing / post-processing exposure
- GD&T, metrology, CMM inspection, or SPC knowledge
- Experience machining titanium or Inconel components
