Due to continued expansion, our client is seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive sales growth, strengthen customer relationships and identify new business opportunities across Northern Ireland. This is a field-based role, and we are open to candidate locations across Northern Ireland.

About you
- Proven experience in a field-based sales, business development or account management role
- Previous experience within the builders' merchant, construction materials, building products or related sector
- Strong understanding of the construction, contractor, developer and trade customer market
- Ability to build long-term customer relationships and identify growth opportunities
- Commercially aware with strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Self-motivated and target-driven with excellent organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Northern Ireland
What you'll do
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across the construction and building sectors
- Develop and grow relationships with contractors, developers, house builders, trade professionals and key accounts
- Maximise sales opportunities across a broad range of building materials and construction products
- Work closely with branch teams and specialist departments to deliver exceptional customer service
- Conduct regular customer visits, site meetings and business reviews
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements
- Prepare sales forecasts and pipeline reports for management
- Represent the business professionally and promote its products, services and values in the marketplace
